Graham Bosworth was raised in the Hollygrove-Dixon neighborhood of New Orleans, and is a graduate of Benjamin Franklin Sr. High School. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, and received his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School. 

Graham previously sat as Judge Pro Tem in Orleans Criminal District Court, Section "D"

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Graham began his law career in 2005 at the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office where he handled a variety of criminal cases including trials, appeals, and post-conviction petitions. As a member of the Appeals Division, Graham represented the state in oral arguments before the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal, the Louisiana Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. 

In 2010, Graham opened his own law practice with a focus on criminal trial practice and appeals. He also handles a variety of civil matters, including work for real estate development companies in the Greater New Orleans area. In addition to his private practice, Graham contracted with the Public Defender Office in Jefferson Parish for the past decade, where he represents defendants in cases ranging from narcotics offenses to armed robbery to second degree murder. Graham is also a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

In addition to his legal practice, Graham is very involved in the criminal justice community. Graham serves as the Chair of the Louisiana Bar Association's Criminal Justice Committee, and previously served as Co-Chair of the Committee's Subcommittee on Incarceration Reduction. He has previously served as a team leader of the Louisiana Sentencing Commission, and is a longtime volunteer with the Justice and Accountability Center and their "Clean Jacket" criminal conviction expungement program.

 

When not serving on criminal justice committees, Graham is the previous President of the Mid-City Neighborhood Organization, a founding member of Citizens United Against the Middle-Belt, a member of the Board of Directors of Lycee Francais de la Nouvelle Orleans, a member of the Board of Directors of Broad Community Connections, and is the President of the Southeastern Louisiana Adult Soccer Association. He is also an active member of the New Orleans Coalition.
