A letter from the Committee
We are thrilled to announce the candidacy of our friend, Graham Bosworth, for Criminal District Court Judge, Section "D."
As many of you know, Graham has been an attorney, judge, and dedicated criminal justice reform leader in New Orleans for over fifteen years.
Graham has an extensive knowledge of, and experience with, the law. He has worked as a prosecutor in the District Attorney's Office, has been a criminal defense attorney for over a decade, and was previously appointed Judge, Pro Tempore, of Section "D" by the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Our friend Graham also possesses the maturity and wherewithal to be respectful to the bench itself and to all who come before it. Prosecutors and defense attorneys who argued cases before him know that Graham’s courtroom will be one based on courtesy, fairness, and a deep knowledge of the law.
Perhaps most importantly, Graham has proven that he is a committed member of our community. Graham grew up in the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans. He graduated from Lusher Middle School and Ben Franklin High School. Graham is also the current Chair of the Louisiana Bar Association's Criminal Justice Committee, after having previously served as a member of the Louisiana Sentencing Commission. Moreover, he was the long time President of the Mid-City Neighborhood Organization, and was an original volunteer with the Justice Accountability Center's criminal conviction expungement program. Graham was also one of the founding member of Citizens United Against the Middle-Belt - an organization dedicated to the protection of marginalized communities in the Hollygrove, Dixon, and Mid-City communities. Additionally, he serves on the boards of Lycee Francais de la Nouvelle Orleans, Broad Community Connections, and is the President of the Southeastern Louisiana Adult Soccer Association.
Graham Bosworth is an attorney, a leader, a friend, and a father. He brings the experience and dignity that our judiciary desperately needs. We hope that you can join us in supporting his candidacy for Criminal District Court.
